Abu Ammar Al Suri

This is where you go for the Syrian experience: fluorescent lights, massive spits of shawarma, huge portions of hummus, mutabel (eggplant dip), fatoush salad, and friendly waiters in bow-ties. Get the fetta hummus bil simeen (a mixture of hummus, tahini soaked pita chips, pine nuts, and ghee), and toomeya (garlic dip) for your shawarma. Every cab driver in the city should be able to get you here, but if not, it is very close to the Salaam Hospital.
